"In my travels throughout the United Kingdom, I believe Leeds to be one of the most spiritually barren cities in the land.

I therefore thank God for the work of the City Mission in seeking to reach men and women and proclaim to them Christ, and Him Crucified."

Roger Carswell
Association of Evangelists

Leeds City Mission was founded in 1837, with the aim of reaching new communities springing up in Leeds during the upheaval of the Industrial Revolution.

We are an interdenominational organisation who's main objective is to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those outside the established churches. We encourage any enquirers to join a local congregation.

We meet with our supporters at least three times a year in local churches and regularly take services around the city.
